Ultimate Video Game Storage Guide
Wall Control Slotted Metal Pegboard is perfect for any gaming pegboard platform wall storage solution needs. Whether you're a coder or gamer [or both ;D] there is no limit to what you can do with this ultimate pegboard wall organizer platform! In this guide we will cover storing/displaying consoles and PC's along with peripherals. Please contact us if you think you have found a better solution/method to storing these or if you have a solution for something not seen here!
Console & PC Storage
Thanks to Wall Control Gaming Pegboard's durable metal construction, it is great for storing consoles and PC's with its modular style and strength. If you are storing multiple consoles or a heavy PC, please only mount into studs for maximum wall storage stability and strength.
For our ultimate gaming pegboard wall storage platform setup, we have used a 6 Inch Shelf Assembly (ASM-SH-1606ASM-SH-1606), a 9 Inch Shelf Assembly (ASM-SH-1609ASM-SH-1609) with a Shelf Divider (10-DV-00910-DV-009), and a 12 Inch Shelf Assembly (ASM-SH-1612ASM-SH-1612). The 6 Inch Platform Shelf holds a Nintendo Switch and Steam Link, the 9 Inch Shelf has enough room for an Xbox One, Xbox 360, and a Playstation 4, and finally two 12 Inch Shelves holds our custom Corsair Gaming PC on our black gaming pegboard platform. Mounting the shelves above one row from the bottom allows for enough room for storage bins and/or controllers.
Headset Storage
For organizing our Corsair headset / headphones on our gaming pegboard platform, we are using a Medium Hook (10-HM-00210-HM-002) as the length allows for the headsets to sit perfectly on the plastic, while avoiding any indentations in the cushion and this may not be the case for every headset. Any hook may work for your headset, but this is the best solution we found for ours.
Controller Storage
We have experimented with a variety of storage hooks to find which hook best suits each mainstream controller (at least the ones we have).
Scuf PS4 Controller
For storing a Scuf PS4 controller / similar PS4 controller with paddles, we found that the best method is to use the Curved Tip Hooks (10-HZ-10310-HZ-103) in combination with a 90-Degree Bend Hook (10-HM-R0210-HM-R02) or 1in x 1in C-Bracket (10-CB-01110-CB-011) to prop up the controller and it is not required, but we used our Rubber Coating (AO-RUBRCT-BAO-RUBRCT-B) to prevent any scratches [or scuffs ;-) ]. Without the 90-Degree Bend Hook or 1in x 1in C-Bracket, the controller does not sit completely upright since it is relatively thin. As a benefit of the 90-Degree Bend Hook or 1in x 1in C-Bracket, you can use it to hold a micro-USB cable in place so you can conveniently charge, store, and display your controller. You may be thinking our 3in U-Hook (10-UH-00310-UH-003) will work better, which in fact it does sit more securely on the 3in U-Hook (see picture), but if you are storing your controllers under shelves, it requires more work to get the controller out of the 3 inch U-Hooks compared to the Curved Tip Hooks.
Dualshock 4 PS4 Controller
For storing the Dualshock 4 PS4 controller, the same principal applies as the Scuf PS4 Controller / PS4 Controller with paddles. The best method is to use the Curved Tip Hooks (10-HZ-10310-HZ-103) in combination with a 90-Degree Bend Hook (10-HM-R0210-HM-R02) or 1in x 1in C-Bracket (10-CB-01110-CB-011) to prop up the controller and Rubber Coating (AO-RUBRCT-BAO-RUBRCT-B).
Xbox One Controller
For holding an Xbox One controller we found that simply using the Curved Tip Hooks (10-HZ-10310-HZ-103) and Rubber Coating (AO-RUBRCT-BAO-RUBRCT-B) works the best. The controllers are thick/tall enough to support itself without needing an extra hook like the PS4 controllers. Using U-Hooks for the Xbox One controller is not recommended as the controller will slide off if not put on the hooks perfectly.
Xbox 360 Controller
For holding an Xbox 360 controller we found that again, simply using the Curved Tip Hooks (10-HZ-10310-HZ-103) and Rubber Coating (AO-RUBRCT-BAO-RUBRCT-B) works the best. The controllers are thick/tall enough to support itself without needing an extra hook like the PS4 controllers. Using U-Hooks for the Xbox 360 controller is not recommended as the controller will slide off if not put on the hooks perfectly.
Other Examples
Here is another example of a Wall Control Gaming Setup. We have a Playstation 4 on a 9 Inch Shelf Assembly with two Dualshock 4 controllers on 3in U-Hooks and finally a headset on a gaming pegboard platform 6 Inch Extended Reach Hook (10-ER-10610-ER-106). This a perfect example of how to store and display your Wall Control Metal Pegboard Gaming System Storage Display.
